"Together, we enjoy learning in a happy, caring and friendly environment"
This is a "Good" school and you will find us in the vibrant community of Higham Ferrers, near Rushden. Here, we strive to bring the best out of our children in an environment focused upon key values - Care, Respect, Share, Enjoy, Friendship. We pride ourselves in providing a creative and highly stimulating curriculum which we ensure is accessible to all children. This is delivered in a caring, safe and secure setting. Why not come and see our school in action - we warmly welcome you to visit us.
We have a very supportive parent community and we are very proud of our school and the achievement of our children. It is their creative talent and enthusiasm for learning that has resulted in us being recognised as a Good school by Ofsted.
Please use the navigation buttons above to move around our school site. If there is anything you think we ought to add, do let us know!
We look forward to your feedback!
Mrs Linda Ward
We want all of our pupils to know our values so that they can uphold them in the best way possible and recite them with a true and meaningful understanding of what they represent. Our whole school community values are:
If you care, respect and share, you enjoy friendship
Parents and carers can now download our most recent Ofsted report following our Inspection which took place on 23rd February 2016.
These are our school houses and the children are awarded house points for a wide range of reasons. The results at the end of the Autumn Term are as follows:
|Kestrels : 737||Falcons : 801||Red Kites : 831||
Eagles : 829
As a reward, the winning team will receive an extra playtime.
On 6th March we have a paratriathlete coming into school. GB Athlete Clare Cunningham is coming in to lead a fun, inspirational fitness circuit with your child. You have the opportunity to cheer on your child by setting up a fundraiser page and raising money for new PE equipment for the school. It only takes a few clicks to set up and then you can share the page with your friends and family. There will also be a sponsorship form going home this week.

Our Cluster Council Representatives have been busy with other schools in our cluster, creating a Water Safety video. They have worked on this project in conjunction with the University of Northampton.
Here at Higham Ferrers Nursery and Infant School, we believe that educating children about water safety is very important, along with other safety lessons. As you know we are working with children on a variety of essential safety lessons, water safety being one of them.
Below is a fantastic video which includes our children and others from Rushden and Higham Schools
